It's never too early for students to start thinking about their career and long-term goals. Join the Academic & Career Engagement & Success (ACES) Center for our next Family Workshop, “From Classroom to Career: Helping Your Student Build Career Experience & Prepare for the Future" This session will help families and supporters understand the career-readiness resources available to students at UMass Boston, such as internships, resume/ cover letter assistance, networking, preparing for interviews, and more. 

Topics for the presentation will include:

• Career success resources at the university, including personalized advising, career coaching, and skill-building programs.
• Why internships and experiential learning matter in the first year and beyond.
• How to support networking efforts and professional communication.
• Discuss balancing paid work with career-building opportunities.
• Provide guidance for students who may feel behind or unsure of their direction.

This workshop is part of our ongoing Family Workshop Series, designed to give family members and other supporters the tools to help their Beacon excel at UMass Boston.
