Join Us for the Next Virtual Family Workshop on April 15th at 6:00pm

Summer break is approaching, and it presents valuable opportunities for students to gain experience, build skills, and explore future career paths. Whether through internships, employment, research, coursework, or community engagement, summer experiences can play an important role in long-term success.

Family Programs and Career Services & Internships invite you to join us for our upcoming Family Workshop, “Making the Most of Summer: Internships, Jobs & Purposeful Experiences.” This session will provide insight into how summer planning connects to career readiness and how families can encourage initiative without adding pressure.

During this workshop, participants will learn about:

• The importance of internships and experiential learning even early in college;
• How students find and apply for summer opportunities;
• Balancing paid employment with career-building experiences;
• Ways families can support networking and professional communication;
• Campus career resources available to assist students

This workshop is part of our ongoing Family Workshop Series, created to equip families and other supporters with timely information and actionable guidance to help their Beacon thrive throughout their UMass Boston journey.
