A major part of the college experience is finding belonging, getting involved, and building community. The first semester of college is a great time to start thinking about these things.

Join the Office of Student Activities & Leadership for our next Family Workshop, "Find Your People, Find Your Place." This session helps families and supporters understand engagement opportunities at UMass Boston that exist outside of the classroom.

Topics for the presentation will include:

• Explain why the first semester of college is a key time to start getting involved.
• Describe the engagement opportunities provided by the university, including student leadership positions, student employment opportunities, clubs/ organizations, and university events.
• Provide families and supporters with information on the resources and services offered by the Office of Student Activities & Leadership.
• Help families and supporters assist their students in finding belonging at UMass Boston.

This workshop is part of our ongoing Family Workshop Series, designed to give family members and other supporters the tools to help their Beacon excel at UMass Boston.
